Dear Sista, Be Yourself. Set Your Own Standards.

Hello, love.

Hope your day’s going marvelously. Today is a new page. Fresh like opening a new notebook. It’s time to write your story. Make some notes, and what doesn’t work, scratch it off. It’s okay to erase; not everything is meant to be perfect. Put some marks on the paper. JUST TRY! That is what life is about: trying. 

I hope you don’t spend your life obsessing over the  “how.” I need you to focus on just being yourself and being yourself to the best of your ability. Your best has always been the goal. Do things your way. Have fun and be in the moment. Life won’t pass you by once you start living your own standards. 

Go! Live! Be!

Be the person God has created you to be! Remember the important lesson that God has taught you: Having control doesn’t mean that everything will go perfectly. Having control isn’t the difference between success and failure. God is.
