More About
KJ BLOGZ

KJ BLOGZ is a faith-based space for young Black women who are learning to walk with God through real, imperfect moments. Rooted in transparency and representation, it exists to remind every woman that her story — her growth, her healing, her process — is worth being seen and celebrated.

Khenyia J. Williams

The Writer

Hai, I'm Khenyia J. Williams, the writer behind KJ BLOGZ. Raised in Mississippi, I learned to find safe spaces in books and cinema because there wasn't much positive representation of young Black queens in close proximity. However, in many instances, even the media I looked up to did not fit "me" in the picture unless "I" was of service to the MC, an example of "how not to live", or a body to soon slaughter or mistreat.

I noticed as I grew up, more and more positive representation became visible. Of that, I am appreciative. Now, I seek to help shine light on the faith journey aspect of life- ups, downs, and in-betweens. While my focus is on young Black women, everyone seeking hope, guidance, or a safe moment of reflection is welcome here. My mission is simple: to remind women that their journeys matter, their struggles are valid, and their faith is worth nurturing — even when the path isn’t perfect.

The Full Story: Behind Why KJ Blogz

KJ BLOGZ was born from a space of reflection — from the quiet thoughts of a young Black woman who learned to find her voice through books, faith, and transparency.

Growing up, reading was my escape. Whenever life felt heavy or uncertain, I’d disappear into stories — into characters and worlds that offered comfort. But even in those escapes, something was missing. The faces I read about, the heroines I admired, rarely looked like me. The Black girls, when they did appear, were often side characters — there to help, heal, or serve someone else’s story.

Tired of hearing the same indirect message that "Black women are to serve- quietly without complaint", I started rewriting. I would imagine myself into the stories — giving the main character my skin tone, my hair, my heart. As I read, I created new details, new endings, and new reflections. That’s where my love for storytelling began — not just from reading, but from reclaiming space inside the stories I read.

Now, as an adult, I carry that same heart into KJ BLOGZ.

This space is for the young Black woman who believes in God but still wrestles with doubt, fear, and insecurity. The woman who’s growing, healing, and learning to see herself as worthy — even when life doesn’t look picture-perfect. The one who craves honesty and values encouragement that doesn’t pretend everything’s fine.

KJ BLOGZ is a safe place for transparent faith — a home for words that remind you that you’re not alone in the process of becoming.

KJ BLOGZ is a step toward representation that feels real.
Because our stories — Black stories, faith stories, human stories — deserve to be seen in their fullness: not just as side notes or stereotypes, but as reflections of strength, grace, and divine growth.

I want to create and write with quality — to make spaces, books, and projects where we, as Black women, are centered in excellence, depth, and authenticity. Because representation isn’t just about being visible; it’s about being valued.

My mission with KJ BLOGZ is to blend transparency, faith, and representation — to remind women, especially young Black women, that their journey matters.

To you reading this: You were created in love with purpose. You are valuable. You are special. You are God's Child.

Once again, I say while my focus is on young Black women, everyone seeking hope, guidance, or a safe moment of reflection is welcome here.We all carry stories worth telling — and this space is where those stories finally take their rightful place at the center.
