Dear Sista,

You are doing an amazing job of going after what you seek. Your efforts are not in question. The only concern to be cautious of is staying in tune with yourself as you strive for more.

God created the Sabbath for a reason. He designed the night for rest, and He placed within us natural signals—our own levels of exhaustion—to let us know when it’s time to pause, be still, and reset. Just as working is purposeful and necessary, so is rest and taking the time to sit still with God.

Yes, we need finances and other accomplishments to help us in our journey, but we also need peace. This month, remember to take those necessary pauses. As we run toward our personal goals in life, it's easier to ignore our bodies telling us to slow down or take a beat. However, I find that it's no good to arrive at your destination and be too drained to sustain it.

During our building season, we store up all the lessons we will need for the time of harvest. Remember to teach yourself more than just how to hustle. Instill in yourself how to get where God is calling you gracefully. Take those necessary moments of rest and get centered with Him. He didn't call you to be purposeful and empty. He didn't call you to be miserable as you build. You're His precious daughter.

He loves you so much. His love goes beyond what you can do for Him. So, please don't pressure yourself into thinking that God wants you to live drained "for His glory." He does not take pleasure in your suffering.

Learn in your building season to do more than just work. Learn how to rest and reset when you feel yourself being drained. Learn how to take the time to listen to your body when it tells you it's time to be still.

Take yourself sis,
-KJ
